Lofoten Viking AS is proud to be the major sponsor for the Sjyrock Music Festival, held annually on our beautiful island of Værøy.
Sjyrock
means "ocean spray (or mist)" in English. The Festival is one of the
most remote and exotic music festivals held in the world - it's site is
an absolutely stunning location on the old Værøy airport - right beside
the ocean, against towering granite cliffs.

The Festival is held each year from 8th to 10th of July, in
the height of the northern summer - at the time when the Midnight Sun
is shining all night.

Each
year the Sjyrock Music Festival features several top
international and Scandinavian music artists, rock and blues bands, and
features good grilled whale meat, and a festive, good-time mood among
people from the island and the growing contingent of visitors.

people visit the Festival every year from all over Europe and abroad,
and it is bringing great new business, life and international culture
to the remote island.

An exciting feature of the Sjyrock Festival are the spontaneous "jam sessions" between the high calibre visiting music artists.
